Where we stayed

The Amanyara Turks & Caicos invites its guests to surrender to the blissful balm of sun, sand and sea on Providenciales. And, surrender we did…

Amanyara is known for being one of the most beautiful and exclusive resorts in the world. With its sleek architecture and its remote location within a nature reserve, the utopian setting makes for a beautiful, peaceful and relaxing place to get away. Friends and fellow Instagrammers had long been telling me how this was a travel must that I was almost afraid the place would be overrated… but, boy was I wrong.

What we did

Relax! We reveled in the white sandy beaches, gazing out into the endless turquoise water. The spa is also worth a visit – they take care of all your pampering needs.

Hike: The hotel can arrange for guided tours of the Frenchman’s Creek Nature Reserve or you can simply venture out on your own.

Snorkel: The hotel has a boat that leaves several times a day to take guests out to snorkel and explore the coral reefs.

Yoga: There is a yoga pavilion located within the spa. Book a private session or opt for a group class. Either way, I definitely recommend trying it at least once on your trip.

Where we ate

Amanyara: We loved eating at the resort. The casual beach club was perfect for lunch and relaxing dinners (the sushi was incredible!) while their more formal restaurant made for perfect romantic and delicious evenings.

Conch Shack: Stop in for delicious conch in an adorable pastel beach setting. It looks like a hole in the wall, but celebrities are often spotted enjoying the fun laid back restaurant.

Coco Bistro: Coco Bistro is a well-known staple on the island. The fish was incredible and the atmosphere was super fun and festive.
